Striped Ceiling & Canopy Effects

February 9th, 2010

I have always loved the way stripes, if carried onto a ceiling, can created a “tented” effect.

I think I like how the ceiling encompasses the WHOLE room and makes the atmosphere so much more inviting.

Here are a few neat examples:

If  the wall space is “up” and closer to the ceiling this is a nice way to unify the walls and the ceiling,

rather than chopping them up with different colors.

This really makes the different angles work in this bathroom.

If you have a ceiling that is already a contained space, these stripes are PERFECT!

It will work on a flat ceiling, but I would bring the stripes down onto the walls, if not the whole wall, the top 18 inches or so!
thanks I am getting the hang of blogging- it is fun!
