In a previous post , I showed how I did the desk tops in this super cool homework room
for a family with FIVE girls
WELL, here is the room with the desks tops finished, and NEW BULLETIN BOARDS
I took photos for step by step on how to make these cool bulletin boards.

keep scrolling down!
I need a few of these in MY HOUSE!!
close up of two of the desks.
These boards are 26 in wide x 72 in tall
Here is how we made these cool bulletin boards:
First draw shape and cut with a jigsaw

gather the following: scissors, staple gun, and staples
lay board on fabric, cut fabric and start stapling the fabric to the back of the board

stapling fabric to bulletin board

1 and 1/2 inch nail heads ordered for edges of boards
finished bulletin board ready to be screwed to the wall

What kind of board did you cut? I have made bulletin boards before, and had a hard time pushing the pins into the board.
Homasote- it is some sort of recycled pressed paper- it is greyish and a lot of builders use it to put on floors to protect them during construction- it comes 4 ft x 8 ft sheets and is usually $20 per sheet!!
super cheap!!
and easy to press pins into!

Love the chairs, do tell where you purchased them or what fabric !
The chairs are from IKEA- and the fabric came on them, but the might sell the fabric by itself? pretty cute!
I would love to create a bulletin board for my granddaughers school/art work. What kind of fabric did you place on the board? Will any color work?
I would use a fabric that has a little texture to it so the pin holes do not show so much when you take art work down, and a small pattern would be great too!
