SELF ADHESIVE STENCILS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT SUNNY’S
What are self adhesive stencils?…these are stencils that have a thin backing that
you peel off and they are covered with self adhesive on the back of the entire stencil.
They are easy to use, and you can even use a small bathroom roller to apply the paint! ,
making it a lot easier and cleaner to stencil.
The above design is the Ainsley Border, it comes in TWO parts, the deep design and the shallow border to connect .
Peel off the backing
stick to the wall…
Look mom! NO TAPE!
roll on paint—with a light touch and not too too much paint on the roller…
peel off stencil…
keep peeling….
VOILA…very clean lines too!
connect the two to create a VERY unique border!
like this one below
Stenciling just got easier!

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? WANT TO TRY ONE??
THESE DESIGNS ARE AVAILABLE NOW ….
Below is a project I worked on today,
A bathroom in some of my personal favorite colors PINK and BROWN.
Here is a great way to use this palette in a sophisticated manner.

By painting the ceiling pink, and the walls brown the room does not become too “cute”.
The pink pattern on the walls make you notice the ceiling, so you can have your pink without getting sick of it!
let me know what you think!
I used the Hayden Medium and Hayden Small stencil for this project.
Here is the process:

Bathroom BEFORE , with walls painted and PINK CEILING ready to go.

The Water Closet inside the bathroom has the same color scheme.

During- please remember to always use less paint when stenciling.
I always tap my brush on the side of the stencil before I start to remove excess paint.
If you want less pattern you might have stopped right here with just the large stencil.

SO what do you think about the PINK and BROWN?
This is what you cannot achieve with wallpaper.
The scale of the pattern on the walls! This idea would look great in so many color combinations it makes my head spin just thinking about it!
The Morroccan pattern in this living room is really perfect.. I do not use that word , perfect, very much, because I truely do not believe that anything is perfect….except when I came across this pattern, color, scale in this living room! {thank you Eric Roth, Los Angeles}
Look at your walls, and start acessing scale….
RE- THINK THE ROLLER BLIND
Southern Living this month has used TWO of my products in a Done-in-a -Day piece.
Anne Turner Carol did an amazing job with these two projects. I am ready to decorate some roller blinds!
get the full tutorial here: Southern Living

She used the Knot Stencil available at Sunny’s web site. I love how she used it! Any stencils would work for this project.
Here she applied one of our removable wall monograms, (again available on Sunny’s website) to a roller blind,
SO CLEVER!! So Sophisticated, SO Simple!
Richmond has a lot of creative minds, I feel lucky to be amongst so much talent in a relatively small town. I have been lucky to paint the sets for POSHTOTS catalog for a few years now. What a fun crew to work with!
Below are a few of my favorites, it is amazing what a little wall stencil can do…
Blue birds on chocolate brown walls are quite striking, and simple.
Painted floors are really one of my very favorite projects to be called for. The impact a painted floor has on an environment always amazes me, and if the idea is brought into a project soon enough, it really is not a hassle.
Here are some of my favorite ones!
Crisp geometrics are very simple and eye-catching.
